Lightning 17 paint This fast paddling hull hasThe Lightning 17 is a full sized sea touring kayak. We know of paddlers who have packed a months gear in her hatches! A good boat for accommodating a larger person or for long distance paddling. Even smaller paddlers 54 and 120 lbs. can handle her. This kayak has a stable multi chine (three) hull that tracks beautifully. Though in most cases not necessary if at some point you decide to install a rudder, we also supply rudder kits. The Lightning 17 is
